Imagine if this tree decided to stop allowing herself to RECEIVE the vital carbon dioxide she needs order to THRIVE.
If she made her primary focus on giving giving giving...giving out as much oxygen as she could.
All the while unconsciously convincing herself that she must first deplete all her energy before she could fill herself up again.
What if the tree stood there fearing that her fellow trees would think her greedy and selfish and uncaring if she took her 'fair share' of carbon dioxide before they did?
What if she waited until she was almost starving of nutrients and energy before deciding to let some in...but only because she realised that if she's not thriving those that depend on her for their own growth (insects, birds, humans) will suffer.....so she fills herself up for them
Which is admirable but what about her?
What if she could just allow herself to thrive?
Not because others need her, but because her natural tendency is to thrive and it is through her putting her tendency to thrive FIRST that others also reap the benefit of her thriving.
In fact her capacity to RECEIVE and GIVE in harmony totally affects the flow of all of nature.
The same is true of you.
You were not built to purely give and it's not just OK to let yourself thrive, it's essential.
Knowing that receiving is an essential part of the flow of life as much as giving will open up magical gateways for you.
Just let it in.
